Don’t read this book if you are pro-war

iuI’m reading this book and it sure is awakening.

“The United States spends over $87 billion conducting a war in Iraq while the United Nations estimates that for less than half that amount we could provide clean water, adequate diets, sanitations services and basic education to every person on the planet. And we wonder why terrorists attack us.”
― John Perkins, Confessions of an Economic Hit Man

I rarely turn on CNN but I happened to catch a promo for Fareed Zakaria’s Why They Hate Us. Something tells me he doesn’t talk about the United State’s gluttonous consumption of the earth’s resources or how we profit from arming the world with weapons.

I am certain he does not talk about the corporatocracy responsible for all of this resentment since CNN is funded by those very same corporations. The promo for the show presents clips of Trump campaigning which is apparently far more infuriating than Obama authorizing drone strikes that inevitably kill civilians (Nothing to see here, move along.).

Don’t be duped citizen, read the book.
